We are always looking for warm, dependable people who love being around children — and we keep applications open year-round, whether or not a spot is posted. When we meet someone wonderful, we find a way to bring them on.

Experience and certifications help, and we are glad to see them. But the qualities that matter most here are simpler: patience on a hard morning, warmth that children trust right away, and the kind of reliability that lets a parent leave for work without worrying.
If that sounds like you, please apply — even if you are still working on your certifications, and even if you are not sure we have an opening today.
No. All of our staff are CPR and First Aid certified, but you do not need to be certified to apply — just let us know where you stand and we will talk about it.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. As a licensed Virginia Family Day Home, we are also required to complete a background check and fingerprinting for everyone who works with the children.
We accept applications all year, whether or not a role is posted. Openings come up a few times a year, and when a great person applies we keep their application close at hand.
Shazia reads every application personally. If it looks like a fit, she will reach out by phone or email to set up a conversation and invite you to visit the home.
It takes about three minutes. A resume is welcome but completely optional — we would rather hear about you in your own words.
